K3 Cat Skiing
K3 Cat Skiing in Sicamous BC was the place to be Dec 21-22 as they had nearly 200cm of base and over 15cm of fresh on top of a very soft deep snowpack. The stability was not 100% so we could not access all of K3's vast terrain [all 33,000 acres of it] but we managed to find some incredible tree skiing with knee deep powder and smiles all around. We averaged 1500' per run with plenty more available once mid winter conditions arrive and stability improves. With trees, steeps, cliffs, and plenty of 'hero snow' there was a great variety to keep everyone happy. David and the crew have been skiing in the area for many, many years so they know the terrain intimately and are set to expand over the next few years.
The combination of good terrain, loads of fresh snow, great guides and passionate owners makes a world class operation. The word is getting out on K3 and the secret stash they have tucked away in the Monashee Mountains. We were thoroughly impressed with what was available only a short drive from Sicamous BC where lodging is provided as part of their package deals.
If you seek good value for your money and a memorable adventure then give David at K3 a call: 250-836-2275 and let him know you heard about them from us.
